So much good sport about at the moment it’s hard to keep up! But let’s have a go eh?
Currently I couldn’t pick a winner in a one horse race. But fortunately I always have the scientists at Football Betting Club to turn to in crisis.
Utterly convinced was I that Manchester United would win at Arsenal yesterday that I barely took an interest, with other matches having greater potential for a bet. Thankfully, on Saturday on the advice of FBC I backed Newcastle in The Prem and Reading in The Championship for home wins. Mind you both teams left it to the last minute and had me sweating.
What happened to United?
In my view the win over PSG was all a bit too much. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has had an outstanding run but two matches of this scale in one week may have been a fence too far! (Salute the racing reference in Cheltenham week!)
The former striker has brought a feel-good factor back to United with results that mean they are in the fight for a Champions League spot at the end of the season, as well as reaching the quarter-finals in Europe and the FA Cup. Keep going Ole.
The less said about that twat who ran on the pitch at St Andrew’s yesterday the better. The assault on Jack Grealish was answered in the best way possible as the midfielder scored the winning goal for Aston Villa against Birmingham.
Spare a thought for Darren Moore as he is removed from the manager’s job at West Bromwich Albion. What did he do wrong? The Baggies were set to make the play-offs in The Championship and he had the respect of the dressing room. Is there another agenda here?
Cheltenham Races start tomorrow. And there’s a few football matches taking place this week. Including Liverpool away at Bayern Munich in The Champions League on Tuesday.
If Liverpool lose that and fail to win The Premiership I worry for Klopp’s sanity.
