London’s Tottenham Hotspur officially confirmed the acquisition of central defender Portsmouth Younes Kaboul.

Spurs have been negotiating on the transfer over the past few days. Portsmouth was forced to sell one of its best players because of financial distress – the club again, no money for salaries of staff and players.

Finally, on Saturday held the return of Kabul at White Hart Lane. Given that Ledley King and Jonathan Woodgate had permanent health problems, the 24-year-old Frenchman is a good chance of getting into the starting team Harri Rednappa.

Recall that Kabul was bought by Tottenham Hotspur FC at AJ Auxerre in the summer of 2007. However, having failed to gain a foothold in the club from north London, 12 months later, the former youth team player moved to France “Fratton Park – just there at the time and worked Rednap.

“I think he’s young central defender, whose rapid development has taken place only in recent years. He added since then when he came to Portsmouth – he was great to play head, he is quick and makes excellent transfer. His progress was evident.

“Now, its concentration is equal to that of his confidence, and his bright future awaits. I think he has every chance to go to the World Championship in the France team. We are satisfied that he is now with us and it is a good acquisition target for Tottenham Hotspur FC, – Rednapp said in an interview to the official web site “spurs”.
